Library reopening: Can you help us to reopen safely in July?

We are very excited to announce that we are hoping to reopen the library this July!

So that we can keep everyone safe, we will be introducing protective measures such as screens, sanitising stations and floor markings to make sure we all keep socially distant.

Can you help?

As you know, the library is staffed entirely by unpaid volunteers and without your kind donations we would not be able to keep our doors open - to purchase these now essential items and adapt the library will cost us an extra £900.

  • We are going to need your help to reopen safely and so we are asking you to support us by giving what you can afford (we would suggest £5 – but there is no minimum amount).

How to give

We really hope you can help. We are looking forward to welcoming you all into the library again – we’ve missed you and it’s just not been the same without you.

Keep safe and well until we meet again.

Update 4th June: It's week 3 of our appeal and you have donated £246 bringing the total so far to £496!

We are thrilled to be over half way to our target of £900 which is what we need to make the library safe for reopening in July

We know that COVID has made life a struggle for many financially and we remain so grateful for your donations, however small.

Thank you.
