Volunteer vacancy: Events Organiser(s)

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who would love to gain some event experience by becoming part of a new fundraising group. As part of the new group you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience whilst raising money for North Harrow Community Library. You will join a fun and enthusiastic team and be responsible for organising and delivering events to allow this community hub to continue to provide a vital service to the community.


Purpose of the role:

  • Plan a and organise the team to deliver events such as quiz nights, author events, collections and other fund-raising activities.

  • Promote fundraising ideas and events with the help of the social media team, local connections and local bulletin boards.

  • Help to raise the profile of North Harrow Community Library.


Skills for the role: You will be enthusiastic and motivated with an interest in developing the skills of events organising. You will generate new ideas, build and maintain effective relationships and help to deliver successful fundraising events. Ideally you will have some experience in organising and running small scale events.


How we can support you: We will provide advice and guidance on how to access information and resources. We may be able to provide a formal training course if funds permit. We will reimburse agreed out of pocket expenses and provide advice on how to set up and promote fundraising events. The role will provide the opportunity to develop new and existing skills and a chance to meet new people in a fun and friendly environment.
