Even if you are not planning a holiday this summer, you can still be transported to distant lands, through the power of reading. Come on a journey through the Magical Forest with us at North Harrow Community Library and you will be amazed at the adventures you encounter along the way.
How it works
The Summer Reading Journey is for children aged up to 11. You may be reading with someone (Explorer) or reading independently (Adventurer). You need to be a member of the Library and have a pass to the Magical Forest. On each visit to the Library you will get a sticker for the Magical Forest. Your journey needs to include at least 2 further visits to the Library (these can include other activities such as Craft sessions and Rhyme time). Write in the titles of the books you have read in your Pass.
Win a medal
Once you have completed 6 books (Adventurers) or 12 (Explorers) you will receive a medal (which will be on at least your third visit). Have a go at completing the back page – the Book Review and “Why I like North Harrow Community Library”. We are planning a presentation day on Saturday 7th September from 14:00-15:00, when all our successful readers will be awarded certificates for completing their reading journeys.
