We are currently not able to accept the following books and items:
– Accounting Books
– Encyclopaedias
– DVDs
– Old magazines.
We are a charity and receive very little council funding. To keep our lights on and our doors open for longer, we would appreciate donations of all sizes:
- £5 pays for our book lending system for a week.
- £10 pays for repairs and maintenance of the library for a month
- £20 pays for the heating for a week.
- £30 buys us internet access for a month.
- £250 keeps our lights on for a week.
Ways to donate
North Harrow Community Library is run entirely by volunteers. All monetary donations go entirely towards the running costs of the Library.
Cash
Got some loose change in your pocket? We have a collection tin in the Library located at the front desk.
PayPal
Donate securely online through PayPal. All proceeds donated via PayPal go towards the operating costs of the Library – there are no administrative fees.
CAF
Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) is an organisation which assists charities like ourselves to process donations. You can use CAF to set up either a single or recurring donation. Find out more on our CAF page.

Books, CD's & DVD's donations
Have you got any books lying around and collecting dust? Do you have any special editions or books of value that could help us raise some funds? If so, please do bring them into the Library for us. On our strictly limited budget, it is difficult to buy new books, so we are very grateful for any donations, in any language or genre.
We are not able to accept DVDs, CDs, cassette tapes or VHS tapes.
Books that we do not place on the shelves are sold either in the Library or on our eBay store. Find out more about our book sale.
