Once you have signed up for a free library card, you can browse and borrow from our selection of over 30,000 books. From Man Booker winners, to the latest Young Adult Fiction, to the most beloved children’s books, you are sure to find something you will love reading. Note that you are able to loan out up to a maximum of six books at a time.
Other media:
- Talking Books and Audiobooks (CDs and tapes) can be borrowed for free.
- We have DVDs to borrow at £1 for a three-week loan.
- You can read newspapers and magazines in the Library, but you cannot take these home.
Visit the children’s library
Children of all ages will enjoy a visit to our cosy and welcoming children’s section. We have:
- Picture books for our youngest visitors.
- Non-fiction books to help with school projects.
- A wide selection of children’s fiction to immerse yourself in.
