It is free to become a member of North Harrow Community Library. Anyone can join – you do not have to live in Harrow! Once you have joined you can borrow up to 6 books at a time from our collection. Here is how it works:
How do I join?
It is easy to join the Library. Just fill in our membership form and bring it into the Library along with 1 form of proof of address such as a utility bill or driving licence. Children under the age of 16 inclusive will need to get a parent or guardian to sign the membership form.
You can obtain the membership form from the Library or download the form (see below) to print it instead.
Once we have received your form in person, we will issue you with a free library card. You should bring this with you when you visit the Library. When you want to borrow a book, just present your card at the front desk.

Benefits of joining the Library
Members of North Harrow Community Library can borrow up to 6 books at a time and keep them for 3 weeks. As a member, you will also be entitled to borrow from our selection of audiobooks (on CD) and DVDs, for a small fee.
If you want to keep your books for a longer period of time, you are welcome to renew them. Just call us on 020 8427 1252 or pop in and renew them at the desk.
Events for members
Our members can join in all sorts of activities, such as the Summer Reading Journey for children, book club and social meet-ups. Find out more on our events page.
Join the Library and help keep us going
We are a community library with no funding from the council. That means we rely on donations and grants from charitable bodies as well as kind support from the public.
To apply for grants we need to demonstrate the difference that we make here in Harrow. One way of doing this is to say how many members that we have. With more members, a stronger case can be made when making an application for a grant. So every single person who joins the Library can help us to secure funding more easily.
