Meet the author
Meet the author provides a fantastic opportunity for the local community to listen to published authors discuss their literary work.
Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Library was fortunate enough to be able to host authors such as Barbara Towell, Bhamika Bhudia, Janine Booth, Leigh Russell and David P Perlmutter.
Since the pandemic, our event has moved online, with many of our discussions now available on our YouTube “In Conversation” series. We have been delighted to have chatted with authors such as Romesh Gunesekera, Megan Rhiannon, Irenosen Okojie, Yvonne Battle-Felton and Tim Wells.
Clubs
The Library has hosted a number of clubs since opening its doors. This includes:
- Book club.
- Children’s book club.
- Knit and stitch.
- Arts and crafts.
- Board game club.
- Harrow writer’s club.
Workshops
The Library has hosted a number of workshops including:
- Yoga.
- Writing for wellbeing.
- Children’s write a book.
- Cubism drawing/ colouring for children.
- Indian & Tribal Folk Art.
The Indian & Tribal Folk Art was a one-off event hosted by local artist Smita Sonthalia.
Knit and Stitch
Fancy improving your stitching or making items for charitable causes?
Festivities
The Library holds an annual Christmas event with a number of activities for children, cake sales, a visit from Santa and carol signing.
We have also held events for Diwali and Halloween, which have included card making and origami.
Rhyme Time
Sing and share stories in our Rhyme time sessions!
