Come cosy up around the metaphorical fire and listen to tales of all description. Expect a night of spoken word, short stories, poems, prose monologues, jazz poetry – and much more. If you have been to a Spinning Straws Open Mic before, you know to expect the unexpected! We will be hosted by the wonderful North Harrow Community Library, a library run entirely by volunteers and donations. Ticket and concessions sales will go to the Library itself. This is a BYOB event and we will have snacks on offer to buy if you are so inclined!

– Doors open at 18:30, night begins at 19:00.

WHERE: NORTH HARROW COMMUNITY LIBRARY
– 429-433 Pinner Rd, Harrow HA1 4HN.
– The venue is a 3 minute walk from North Harrow Station (Metropolitan Line).

TICKETS:
– Tickets are £2 plus Eventbrite’s admin fee. A handful of tickets will be available at the door contingent on capacity. We ask those wishing to perform to book their tickets online in advance. All sales go to the library. Link to book tickets.

WHAT IS SPINNING STRAWS???
– Spinning Straws is a collaborative visual art and creative writing project. Our Spinners marry the visual and the written, producing striking photography and other digital art and brilliant, short pieces of prose or poetry. We believe we are better understood by our work so please check out Spinning Straw’s earlier work and Spinning Straw’s new iteration.
