North Harrow Community Library is pleased to welcome Romesh Gunesekera to our first virtual (Meet the Author) event held on Zoom. Please bring your questions as there will be a Q&A. Romesh Gunesekera is the internationally acclaimed author of many books, including Noontide Toll featured in the New Yorker, the Booker-shortlisted Reef and the Jhalak Prize-shortlisted Suncatcher.

Romesh’s work explores key themes of our times – political, environmental, economic – through stories of wide appeal. Born in Sri Lanka, he also lived in the Philippines before coming to Britain. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. His writing workshops have been listed in the top ten by the Sunday Times and the Telegraph and he is a mentor on the Gold Dust scheme.

His latest novel, Suncatcher, returns to an earlier era with a story of divided loyalties and endangered friendship in the turbulent 1960s. It will be available at the Library soon.
